The EVIDENCE Model

The EVIDENCE Model provides a systematic approach to leveraging data and storytelling to identify and solve problems. This framework offers a methodical process to identify and validate problems, determine data requirements and appropriate analysis to devise solutions, and communicate solutions with stakeholders using effective media. Finally, this model solicits stakeholder feedback and evaluates results to measure effectiveness.

About Me

A maverick at the confluence of organizational agility and information technology.

As a child, I was surrounded by science, technology, engineering, arts, and math before STEAM became a formal concept. My parents were talented in their own right and I am fortunate to be the product of them both. My mother was a social butterfly influenced by the arts and music. As an elementary school teacher, she utilized various non-traditional methods to teach her students. My father was an introvert influenced by technology. Though he often worked in isolation, he was methodical and exhibited passion and dedication to solving problems.

My career path has been anything other than typical, and I would have it no other way. After high school I joined the U.S. Army Reserves as an Information Technology Specialist. I served several years in the Reserves before transferring to active duty. After several years on active duty, including a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I was honorably discharged.

Following 7 years in the Army, I began consulting in Southern California. I counseled clients to leverage technology to improve organizational agility and performance. The range of services and solutions I provided clients paled in comparison to the variety of clients for whom I worked. I had the pleasure of working with many industries: real estate, construction, large format printing, vehicle graphics and advertising, and medical marijuana.

In 2018, I earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. Currently, I work for the Federal Aviation Administration as a senior analyst focussing on leveraging data and technology to improve organizational performance and decision-making. I am also involved in various research and consulting projects exploring the relationship between data and technology and their effect on organizational agility.
